UNDER THE MERCY

Released LP 840 188-1 on 2th May, 1990

THE HEALING WITHIN
The healing begins within. Property is condemned. Bring your will back home. Because spirit lives when you survive. Go up the hill. Take your time. It was on a cold November day, I met my soul within. Turning point of thoughts. White soul. New energy, Reborn. Love, Joy, Peace, Unity and Wholeness. The healing had begun.
I enjoyed new life with my inner joy and peace. Sacred places on earth were opened to me due to your healing. With blessings from our Alien ancestors. Glastonbury, I found your holy grail beneath the Crystal garnet. Let the healing begin for all. For all you
survivors in this world of glass. Come with me and we’ll shine like a star for a thousand years. I didn’t want to be a victim of the world. I chose to be a creator of my life
and connect with my inner guidance, my Higher Self. Your life and mine.

"The Healing Within" by the rock band A Cloud, part of the LP 'Under the Mercy,' is an intriguing text that takes the listener on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual healing. Doc Star speaks about overcoming material limitations (“Property is condemned”) and reclaiming one's willpower (“Bring your will back home”). The emphasis on the survival of the spirit (“Because spirit lives when you survive”) suggests a deep resilience against life's challenges.

Doc Star's journey continues with a personal revelation (“It was on a cold November day, I met my soul within”), marking a turning point towards purity and renewal (“White soul. New energy, Reborn”). The lyrics embrace universal values of love, joy, peace, unity, and wholeness, and proclaim the beginning of a healing process that is both personal and collective.

Doc Star's references to “sacred places on earth” and “blessings from our Alien ancestors” add a mystical element to the text, presenting Glastonbury as a place of power and transformation. The call for healing (“Let the healing begin for all”) is inclusive and inviting to his listeners, offering hope to “survivors in this world of glass.”

The conclusion of the lyrics is powerful and affirming, with Doc Star choosing self-creation over victimhood (“I chose to be a creator of my life”) and seeking a connection with the higher self. It is a message of empowerment and eternal brilliance (“We’ll shine like a star for a thousand years”).

Overall, "The Healing Within" by Doc Star is a poetic and spiritually charged text that invites the listener to reflect on inner strength and transformation. It resonates well with fans of the band who seek depth and inspiration in music. The lyrics fit perfectly within the theme of the LP and have a strong emotional impact on its listeners.
